Students enrolled at IIT Bombay
3rd year UG/1st year PG: take my course and do well in it. I do not give excessive importance to your overall CPI, but I do expect you to stand out in my course. In addition to your grade, I want you to ask thoughtful questions, and be regular to class.
IDDDP: Be prepared to stay back on campus after your 4th year. I also expect you to take my course(s).
4th year UG: this is usually too late to reach out to me - with placements, etc. But you can have a second chance - see our predoc programme.
Students not enrolled at IIT Bombay
Please check out the C-MInDS admissions page for information about the MS-R and PhD programmes. If you are willing to devote at least 12 months full-time, do check out the C-MInDS pre-doc program.
Interns
I am currently not taking short-term (less than 12 months) interns.
If I reply to your email (meaning you satisfy the criteria above), the following will happen: we have an initial conversation; if you still want to work with me (and I with you) after that, I'll give you 2-3 papers to read. After 10-12 days, I will quiz you on these for 60-90 minutes to test your understanding. Since I primarily work on theoretical problems, these papers will be theory-heavy. Look at some of my recent papers to get a flavor.
