I currently work as a Mechanical Engineer for Eastern Research Group where I am contracted to the Naval Base at Indian Head, Maryland. My primary role is to manage all transportation assets on base. I coordinate new requests as well as maintenance of our fleet of explosive and non-explosive vehicles. I have also assisted in the development of workflows that allow our team to address issues on base in a timely manner.
I recently graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering where my focus was Robotics. My area of research was jumping robots where I analyzed the feasibility of utilizing carbon fiber rods in place of traditional springs.
I earned my BSME degree with Distinction from Purdue University in May 2019. While at Purdue, I was an active member of Pi Tau Sigma, an ME Honors Society, which helped me engage with the West Lafayette neighborhood through community service and other events. I also had the opportunity to study engineering abroad at one of China’s most prestigious institutions, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Upon graduation from Purdue, I worked at Epic Systems, a Healthcare IT company. My role while at Epic was to provide hospitals with Claims support. I worked with both big and small hospital systems across various states to help them understand the various nuances of filing insurance claims and ensure they were paid for their services. All these experiences have fashioned my engineering goals to be community focused and driven.
