Meals served at Prairie Hill School District 133 cost $2.75 and meet State and Federal requirements based on USDA Dietary Guidelines.
We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet their health and nutrition needs.
The Food Service Department would like to encourage that meal payments are made in advance. It is your choice to either pay online (fees apply) or send a check with your student.
Cash or Check
Your student will hand in the check to their homeroom teacher in the morning. Meal payment (cash or check) should arrive in an envelope marked School Lunch and must contain the following information:
- STUDENT NAME
- PAYMENT: CHECK________ CASH________
Checks are to be made payable to PHCCSD133.
If you have more than one student at the same school you only need to write one check, but please indicate how much is to go into each child's account. Money will be carried over to the next year, until the student graduates from our district.
Many families prefer to pay in advance for a certain number of meals, so it is easy to keep track of when money is needed.
- milk .35
- 1 meal $ 2.75
- 5 meals $13.75
Ala Carte Items at WMS
In addition to lunches, the Food Service Department occasionally offers a la carte items. Money deposited in student’s account can be used for both lunch and a la carte purchases.
If you do not want your student to purchase a la carte items from their account, please call 389-3957 extension 1760 so your student's account can be blocked from these purchases.
Families funding accounts with checks or cash can monitor balances at Lunch Box Online.
Online payments can be made using parent portal. On the parent main page go to miscellaneous then fees. You will be able to view account balances here also.
Low or Past Due Lunch Balances
In an effort to keep account balances current our Teacherease system will generate emails on Fridays and Wednesdays to inform you of any past due lunch accounts. Any child with a negative balance of $9.00 will receive a cheese sandwich on whole grain bread and a carton of milk.
