Prairie is back open for the summer! Join us for our French Regional class, open every Thursday from 11:00am - 1:00pm during our summer session.

Menus will be updated every week with takeout options available. All dine-in reservations have been filled. Please email ndupont1@clcillinois.edu to check availability.

Walk-in reservations are welcome but will be accommodated based on capacity and may be turned away.

Starters, Pâté aux Foies de Volailles, A silky, butter-enriched chicken liver pâté in the bouchon tradition, scented with shallots and a splash of brandy, served with toasted country bread and cornichons, $8, Escargots à la Bourguignonne, The Burgundian classic: plump snails baked in their shells under a rich compound butter of garlic, parsley, and shallots, served bubbling hot with crusty bread. $8, Soupe au Chou Lyonnaise, A hearty, rustic soup of braised cabbage, root vegetables, and smoky bacon simmered in rich broth, $6, Salade Lyonnaise, The famous bistro salad of Lyon: bitter frisée greens tossed in warm bacon-fat vinaigrette with crispy lardons and garlicky croutons, crowned with a softly poached egg. $10, Entrees, Sandwich à la Rosette de Lyon, A crusty baguette spread with sweet butter and layered with thin slices of Rosette de Lyon served with cornichons. $10 Cailles Morvandelles aux Raisins, Tender quail from the Morvan highlands of Burgundy, pan-roasted and finished with a sauce of sweet grapes, brandy, and pan juices, $12, Boeuf Bourguignon , Beef slowly braised in red Burgundy wine with pearl onions, mushrooms, and bacon lardons until fork-tender, the sauce reduced to a glossy, deeply savory richness. $12, Sides +$4.00, Mushrooms in Cream, Lyonnaise Potatoes

Tickets are $60 per person and can be purchased at Prairie at brae loch of the H building, a cash bar is available on site. Hors d' oeuvres will be served at 5:30, Dinner buffet will open at 6:00.
