Prairie is back open for the summer! Join us for our French Regional class, open every Thursday from 11:00am - 1:00pm during our summer session.

Menus will be updated every week with takeout options available. All dine-in reservations have been filled. Please email ndupont1@clcillinois.edu to check availability.

Walk-in reservations are welcome but will be accommodated based on capacity and may be turned away.

Starters, Fondue Savoyarde, The iconic Alpine dish: Comté, Beaufort, and Emmental melted with white wine, garlic, and a splash of kirsch in a communal pot, served with cubes of crusty bread for dipping. $8 Soupe aux Champignons et à l’Orge, A rustic, warming soup of wild and cultivated mushrooms simmered with pearl barley, root vegetables, and fresh thyme in a rich broth — hearty fare from the high mountain valleys. $6 Salade Savoyarde, Crisp greens topped with smoky bacon lardons, cubes of nutty Beaufort cheese, croutons, and walnuts, tossed in a warm mustard vinaigrette, $10 Entrees, Sandwich Comté–Jambon de Savoie, A crusty baguette spread with sweet butter and layered with aged Comté — the great cheese of the Jura — and delicate air-dried Savoie mountain ham, served with cornichons. $10 Poulet au Vin Jaune, The crown jewel of Jura cuisine: tender chicken braised in vin jaune — the region’s prized oxidative “yellow wine” — with cream and morel mushrooms, creating a sauce of extraordinary nutty depth.
