2024-2025: Policies and Procedures may differ from other years and continue to change as the school year evolves. We are trying to take extra preconditions for the health of our students and staff.
Students will visit the library once a week with their class.
"Walk-in" Traffic will be allowed in the library with promotion from classroom teacher.

LOST or DAMAGED BOOK?
At the end of each quarter, a lost book notice will go home with students. It will provide the title, picture, and price of the book on it.
If a book is lost or damaged it can be paid to our Library account so the book can be replaced. If you know a book is lost or damaged, please communicate that with Mrs. Bennaka (lbennaka@gvr5.net) as soon as possible.
Payment is refundable if a lost book is found and returned on or before the last day of the current school year. If a student is missing one book they will only be able to check out one book until the other is paid for or returned. IF a child has not returned two or more books (after several weeks of looking for the lost books) they will be allowed to check out one library book but be asked to leave it at school until there is a plan to replace the missing books.
CLASS VISITS
Students visit the Library on a 5-day rotation with their class. Students will check out a book and receive a library lesson each week. In addition, students may visit the library during open library hours if approved by the classroom teacher.

Kindergarten- 1 Book first semester, 2 books second semester
1st- 5th Grade- 2 Books
