Hi, Welcome to my site! I am a Lecturer at University of Aberdeen's Department of Economics. Previously, I was a High Meadows Post-Doctoral Economics Fellow at Environmental Defense Fund, NY (2021-2022). I have been a visiting faculty at Ashoka University and also worked as an Associate Fellow in Development Economics vertical at Brookings Institution India Center for 2 years (2018 to 2020). I completed my PhD in Quantitative Economics from Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi.
My research interests lie in environmental and health economics. In my job market paper I explore the relationship between in-utero exposure to crop burning/forest fires and child health (in India). I also did an impact evaluation of information campaign about arsenic contamination to assess its link to marriage patterns in rural Bangladesh. In my other papers I have explored how crop burning patterns are associated with cardiovascular health and adolescent height.
