INTRODUCTION

Join us for the 1000 Scientist AI Jam Session, an exciting in-person event exploring the potential of advanced AI reasoning models in scientific research. Hosted by the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory and the AI Lab at Princeton University, this event brings together scientists, researchers, and engineers from Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratories to apply cutting-edge AI tools to complex scientific challenges. Participants will work in small teams to define and tackle research problems using state-of-the-art AI models, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to the broader understanding of AI’s impact on accelerating scientific discovery.

The AI Jam Session will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM in the Lewis Library Tree House at Princeton University. Attendance is limited to DOE national laboratory participants and selected collaborators from Princeton University, and prior registration is required. In preparation, OpenAI will offer training webinars to introduce the AI tools and best practices. Don’t miss this opportunity to collaborate with experts across disciplines, engage in AI-driven problem-solving, and help shape the future of AI in scientific research. Please review the application on our webpage. For more information about the model evaluation please see the call for proposal here

Lunch is being generously sponsored by the AI Lab at Princeton University.

Note: Applying does not guarantee participation. If selected to participate, you will receive a confirmation email after applying. Please do not make travel arrangements until you are confirmed.
