Powder Peek provides weather and modeled snow-condition information for ski resorts selected by the user.
Information stored
Powder Peek stores the following preferences using the Chrome Storage Sync API:
Favorite ski resorts
Currently selected resort
Metric or imperial unit preference
These preferences are used solely to provide the extension’s functionality.
Information transmitted
Powder Peek sends predefined ski-resort coordinates and elevations to Open-Meteo to retrieve weather and snow forecasts. It does not transmit the user’s physical location.

Information not collected
Powder Peek does not collect:
Names or email addresses
Browsing history
Website content
Precise user location
Authentication information
Financial information
Analytics or advertising identifiers
The developer does not operate a server that receives or stores user information.
Sharing and selling
Powder Peek does not sell, rent, or share user information for advertising, marketing, or profiling.
Data retention and deletion
Preferences remain in Chrome Storage Sync until the user changes them, removes the extension, or deletes the associated Chrome synchronization data.
Security
All weather requests are transmitted over HTTPS.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the extension’s functionality or data practices change. The effective date will be updated accordingly.
