In 2018 I graduated with a Master of Cultural and Creative Practice from Auckland University of Technology (AUT). As part of the AUT Internz program, a program for graduates that sources internship opportunities in the US and pays AUT graduates if an internship is unpaid, I was selected to intern at the Sundance Institute's Indigenous Program for Bird Runningwater. After my 3 month internship, they offered me a job as the Indigenous Program Assistant where I worked on some of the following projects.
Virtual Reality exhibition booth at Gathering of Nations Powwow, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 2019 showcasing the work of four Indigenous Digital artists at the largest Native American Powwow in North America.
The Indigenous Program Team co-ordinated the screening and premieres of a selection of Indigenous films showing at the festival. Arranged the program for 8 fellows attending the Festival through one of our programs.
The Indigenous Program was responsible for organising a series of Festival events such as The Native Breakfast, Indigenous Producers Lab, Premiere events, panel discussions and The Native Forum Reception held at Obama Ambassador to New Zealand Mark and Nancy Gilbert.

We fly in industry professionals to work with our Native Lab fellows on their individual projects and also begin the Full Circle mentorship programme flying in 4 young Indigenous filmmakers to work as Assistants, sit in on workshops and gain experience and face time with mentors.
