Hello, My name is Rob. I  am currently living in  Perth , WA.

I am originally from Nepal, where there is a 90% Hindu population.

My parents are very religious Hindus, but I was never very religious.

Although I was raised as a Hindu I never followed any God.

So when I grew up, I didn’t have direction in my life. I was following different crowds with different motives, drinking, smoking ganja, playing with women and those type of things. So I was becoming a very miserable person inside.

So in 2005 I came to Australia for higher studies. I finished my studies in Australia. But still I was drinking heavily. I got married, and started to have children.  But even after having children I was still drinking heavily and not following the rules. I was a very angry person. I was very lucky that my wife did not leave me at that time. In that time I got into many bad situations where I didn’t know what to do with myself.

Around 4 years ago, I met a man from the Potters House Church near my house in Perth, and he shared with me the good news about Jesus, and told me how his life was changed after giving his life to Christ, and how our sins can be forgiven. When I knew that our sins can be forgiven this was good news for me, because in our Nepali mindset when you are a sinner, you will always be a sinner. You can’t change your life, and its very hard.

He told me that, in the Bible, it is written that if we repent of our sin and receive Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we will be forgiven. We  become a new creature, and we will have eternal life!

I was amazed! I thought WOW, I’ve never heard something like this! I want to go to church, and want to know who Jesus Christ is!

When I came to the church, I learned more about Jesus,  and I repented of my sin, and gave my heart to Jesus Christ. Now, I have a personal relationship with Christ, the living God. I never thought we could have peace with God. I thought that all the gods were only the idols or a photo or perhaps a motivational speaker. But then I found that our lives can be delivered from sin, and we can spend eternity with Jesus Christ.

I was then baptized in water, and my old self has died and I have become a new creation in Christ. So now I am part of the family of God thru Jesus Christ. I am very happy that I became a Christian.  I am very thankful to Jesus Christ. He has turned my life around, from being a miserable person to being a God fearing man. And my family is so happy now. I am loving every moment of my life, and I am proud to tell everyone that I am a born again Christian, and Jesus is the Rock
