In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has compelled the academic community to engage in rapid and collaborative research efforts to understand and mitigate the multifaceted effects of the virus. In response to the pandemic and its consequences, a research team at the Faculty of Women for Arts, Sciences, and Education embarked on a comprehensive investigation into various facets of the pandemic. 

The project was funded by Ain Shams University with 530000 E.L. and brought together 21 researchers from diverse disciplines in the fields of basic sciences, humanities, and education. The collaborative efforts of the team have yielded significant findings and innovative solutions, contributing to the global act towards the crises in the present time and for similar future challenges. Focusing on key areas such as virus transition dynamics, public health interventions, and effects on the individual, society, education, cultural products, and the ecosystem. The leadership of the project approached these issues holistically, ensuring that the findings are robust, comprehensive, and applicable across various contexts. 21 research papers were published in prestigious international journals, 13 of which are indexed in SCOPUS and WOS databases. These publications highlight our groundbreaking work and provide valuable insights that can inform policymaking, enhance public health strategies, and guide future research and development. The success of this project underscores the value of multidisciplinary collaboration and exemplifies how the nurturing of a research culture can yield more knowledge production from our part of the world.
