About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Posture Pal team ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Posture Pal mobile application (the "App"). The App is intended for users aged 16 and over.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at snapit.foranything@gmail.com.
Information we collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the App's features.
Information you provide:
Onboarding answers: name (optional), age, height, lifestyle type, daily screen time, pain level, confidence goals, time commitment, and specific trouble areas.
Photos: a side-profile and front-facing photo you take during the posture assessment.
Information collected automatically:
Device information: device model, iOS version, app version, language, and locale — provided by the operating system.
Subscription state: whether you have an active subscription, the product purchased, and renewal status. This is provided to us by Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat).
The App does not require you to create an account. We do not assign you a persistent user identifier.
How we use the information
We use the information to:
Generate your personalised posture plan and exercise recommendations.
Track your weekly check-ins and posture score over time.
Provide and manage subscription access (entitlement checks, restore purchases).
Keep the App functioning correctly.
Photos and AI analysis
When you generate or re-analyse a posture plan, the App sends your onboarding answers and downsized versions of your posture photos (reduced to a maximum of 768 px, transmitted over TLS) to an AI model (Google Gemini 2.5 Flash) through a proxy operated by Rork, Inc. This is how your personalised plan is produced.
Photos are reduced in size before being sent.
We do not use your photos to train AI models.
The original photos remain on your device and are not uploaded to any other server.
Rork and Google may retain API request data for up to 30 days for safety monitoring, after which it is deleted.
If you do not want your photos sent to a third-party AI service, do not generate a posture plan.
Subscriptions and Apple
Purchases inside the App are processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not see or store your payment card information. Apple shares subscription receipts with our subscription provider (RevenueCat, Inc.) so we can verify entitlement to paid features. RevenueCat may receive a pseudonymous device identifier, your country, subscription product ID, and renewal events. RevenueCat does not receive your onboarding answers or photos.

How we share information
We do not sell your information. We share limited information with the following service providers, only to operate the App:
Apple — payment processing and app distribution.
Google (via Rork, Inc.) — AI posture plan generation, as described above.
RevenueCat, Inc. — subscription receipt validation and entitlement management.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition.
Where information is stored
Your onboarding answers, posture plan, check-ins, and photos are stored locally on your device. They are included in your device's iCloud or local backups according to your iOS settings.
AI requests are processed on servers operated by Rork and Google in the United States.
Subscription data is stored by Apple and RevenueCat in the United States.
Retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
AI providers may retain API request data for up to 30 days for safety monitoring.
Subscription records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat for the period required by their policies and applicable accounting and tax law.
Your choices and controls
Camera access — granted by you and controlled in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.
Photo library access — controlled in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
Delete all local data — tap "Delete my data" in the App's Settings, or uninstall the App.
Subscription management — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device, or "Manage subscription" in the App's Settings.
Restore purchases — use the "Restore purchases" button on the paywall or in the App's Settings.
Contact us — email snapit.foranything@gmail.com to ask questions or request deletion of any information we hold on a server about you.
Children
The App is intended for users 16 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has used the App, contact us at snapit.foranything@gmail.com and we will delete the relevant information.
Regional rights (California, EU/UK, and others)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because the App stores most data locally on your device, you can exercise most of these rights yourself by editing your settings or uninstalling the App. To exercise other rights or ask questions, email snapit.foranything@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App.
