Free Books for Kids
The Pop-Up Library is a bookmobile that brings new books
to neighborhoods in Portsmouth for kids to choose and keep during summer vacation.
About the Portsmouth Pop-Up Library
Books in the Pop-Up Library are free for kids to keep. We strive to provide new, popular books that kids are excited to read.
The bookmobile is run by two local school librarians, Kelly Moore and Tara Mickela. We started small in summer 2017, and have been growing each summer.
The Pop-Up Library is funded by donations. To hear about fundraising efforts and schedule info, follow us on Facebook or Instagram.
The trailer was purchased with a grant from the Clipper Foundation and painted by Brainstorm.
