Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Inventory and assess high-risk pedestrian areas, recommending safety improvements.
Conduct surveys and studies on bicycle and pedestrian matters.
Facilitate citizen involvement in safety discussions.
Review laws and best practices, advising on beneficial ordinances.
Promote cooperation on transportation projects, including state programs.
Advise on the relationship between transportation and community facilities.
Guide Town Council on pedestrian access policies.
Provide a forum for community input on transportation issues.
Promote safety and education initiatives.
Identify funding opportunities for projects.
Offer advisory input on the State Transportation Improvement Program.
Advocate for a comprehensive bicycle and pedestrian master plan.
Collaborate with partners to ensure public accessibility.
Establish safe paths near schools.
Work with RIDOT for sidewalks and crosswalks on Main Roads.

Activities:
Liaise with town government
Prepare agendas and meeting minutes
File agendas and minutes with OpenGov
Intake and prioritization of topics from subcommittees
Follow Robert's Rules and OpenGov
