The Portland Education Network is for students, parents, teachers and caregivers.
The Portland Education Network is a new, regional grassroots network designed to facilitate connection, advocacy and growth of neurodiverse students in the Portland Metro area of Oregon.

Neurodiversity: this term derives from a view of learning and development that celebrates neurological variation as an inherent aspect of human variety.
Highly Capable: this term derives from a traditional understanding of "talented and gifted" and is focused on meeting the needs of students requiring additional, alternative and/or accelerated experiences to meet their rate and level of learning.
Twice-exceptional (2e): this term refers to individuals who experience the needs of the highly capable alongside one or more identified learning or neurodevelopmental differences (e.g. dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, autism spectrum, sensory processing, etc.)
