Geeta Iyengar
Recently, I heard this quote, “Knowledge has a beginning but no end”, and since I am finishing my studies at Capital University and a chapter in my life, the quote resonated with me. Over the past four years, I increased my knowledge more than I could have imagined when I set out on this journey. Along the way, I did not realize the personal growth I would obtain within myself through the struggles and triumphs I endured. After learning the value of self-care and applying the holistic approach to my personal life, I realized it helped me through this journey to obtain a Masters in Nursing Administration. Throughout my research and experiences, I created a platform of knowledge for myself before I will enter a position of leadership. Today, leadership is crucial in the nursing profession and being a transformational leader is vital. Knowing how to understand different individuals based on what drives them internally, and how to connect and be present with others, are all areas I plan to keep utilizing in my career. As the quote states, continuing to learn has no end. Thus, I will continue to consume new knowledge as I progress in my career. I hope from my portfolio that you can observe the positive impact this program has made upon me. It improved my nursing skills and will help me in my future career in leadership. I know that as my learning at Capital University comes to a close, this is not the end of my education but just the beginning of a new venture in learning, in my life and career.
I would like to thank you for the time that you spent reviewing my journey through my studies at Capital University. The portfolio provides the detail to support the knowledge I attained during my course work and validates the goals required to complete my degree. Again, thank you for analyzing my work and I look forward to comments and feedback.
Sincerely,
