Official Product Communications Template
The Idea
Create a multi-formatted template (Web, Email, PDF) for Product and Support teams to present and distribute information more effectively.
I was tasked with designing and developing a template within our system for the goal of unifying the way we present information to clients about release notes and product enhancements. This template would be used by many teams including Sales, Marketing, Product and Support, so it was important that we factored in several use-cases while maintaining a singular aesthetic so that there was no mistaking the reliability of our communication methods.
The Process
Meet with teams to conceptualize what we needed to move forward and hear out their unique challenges, requests and ideas.
Compile resources (brand guide, meeting notes, feature requests, etc.).
Create wireframes for Email, HTML5 and PDF, present to project team and go through edits.
Incorporate BlueMatrix branding and create mockups for said formats.
Build.
The Design
As this template served to disseminate crucial product updates and communications, my goal was to prioritize a template-centric design approach. This ensured that authors could only insert their text, links, and images, maintaining a consistent presentation. Given that this content was accessed numerous times annually by thousands of users relying on these updates, it was imperative to uphold strict style guidelines. Furthermore, maintaining the BlueMatrix branding was crucial to ensuring readers recognized the information's official source.

The Outcome
I'm pleased to report that our efforts have paid off, marking a notable achievement in my career. This project has become essential for my colleagues, who've relied on it for over three years to compile product release notes, guides, and other key materials. By standardizing how we present information to our clients, we emphasize the importance of our partnership and set the stage for shared success.
