Hello, my name is Francisco Lisboa Lopes Ferreira (Fran Lisboa).

I’m a self-taught draftsman and illustrator, born on August 24, 1981, in Volta Redonda, Rio de Janeiro. I'm the son of parents from state of Ceará, Brazil, married to Daniela, and I’ve lived since childhood in Canindé, Ceará, Brazil.

I carry with me the gaze of someone who grew up surrounded by the colors of the Sertão and the imaginative silence of blank pages.

My work moves between technical precision and the lyricism of artistic expression, grounded in traditional techniques that deeply captivate me: colored pencils, watercolor, India ink, acrylic paint, graphite...

I’m drawn to the freshness and nostalgia of mediums like watercolor and colored pencils, which enchant me with their lightness — as if each brushstroke and line gently caressed the white paper like a breeze. I value what is made slowly, by hand, because I believe that the gesture leaves behind invisible impressions of the artist’s soul — impressions that are felt in the eyes of those who observe and appreciate.

It’s the same kind of joy as smelling the pages of a new book: an intimate, almost tactile experience, where the material holds the memory of the process and invites quiet contemplation.

For me, art must be more than aesthetic or informative: it should be playful, welcoming, simple — like an open door into the imagination of those who pause before it in search of a moment of peace.

I strive to create images that tell stories, that awaken emotions, that speak to the inner self. I enjoy composing scenes and characters that invite immersion — works that don’t exhaust themselves in a first glance.

I am also open to dialogue with the contemporary and with digital tools, always seeking to update myself whenever these help expand the reach of sensitivity and visual storytelling.

This is my artistic universe — built on simplicity and playful feeling.
