I am a Senior Researcher (with tenure) in the Economics Department at IOS (Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies), Regensburg, and a Research Associate at CERGE-EI (Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education - Economics Institute), Prague

I am a co-editor of Comparative Southeast European Studies, an interdisciplinary journal published by De Gruyter and indexed in Scopus. In addition, I serve as a section editor for the Handbook "Labor, Human Resources and Population Economics".

I also teach at GSEM-UrFU (Graduate School of Economics and Management of the Ural Federal University), Yekaterinburg

I am an applied microeconomist. My research interests include Health and Environmental Economics, Quality of Life, Economics of Religion, Economic Reforms and Development, and Emerging and Transition Economies
