Welcome to Popi ("Application," "we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of data protection and transparency. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we process, how it is handled, and the stringent measures we take to ensure your digital sovereignty. 2. THE "ZERO-KNOWLEDGE" INFRASTRUCTURE
Popi is engineered on a "Privacy-by-Design" framework. Our core philosophy is that your personal data belongs to you alone.
On-Device Processing: All analytical operations—including photo redundancy detection, video compression, contact merging, and acoustic cleaning—are executed locally on your iPhone's hardware.
No Cloud Storage: We do not maintain external servers to store, mirror, or backup your personal media, contacts, or files.
No Transmission: Your raw data never leaves your device. We do not have "backdoor" access to your gallery or address book.
3. DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT (EXCLUSIONS)
To provide absolute clarity, Popi DOES NOT collect, harvest, or monetize the following:
Biometric Data: We do not access or store Face ID or Touch ID data. The App utilizes system-level APIs to trigger authentication for the Privacy Vault, meaning the biometric verification is handled exclusively by iOS.
Visual and Audio Content: We do not see your photos, videos, or the audio generated by the speaker cleaner.
Personal Identity: We do not require names, home addresses, or social security numbers.
Contact Details: While the App organizes your contacts, it does not transmit names, phone numbers, or email addresses to any external entity.
4. TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED
4.1 Technical Logs and Diagnostic Data: To ensure app stability, we may receive anonymized technical identifiers via Apple’s standard developer tools (e.g., device model, iOS version, crash logs). This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify an individual user.
4.2 Subscription and Transactional Data: All financial transactions are processed by Apple Inc. via the App Store. We receive a "receipt token" to verify subscription status, which does not contain your credit card number or billing address.
5. PERMISSIONS AND API USAGE
To function effectively, Popi requests specific iOS permissions:
Photo Library Access: Required to identify and remove redundant media.
Contacts Access: Required to detect and merge duplicate entries.
Notifications: Used solely for low-storage alerts and cleanup reminders.
You may revoke these permissions at any time via iOS Settings, though certain features may become inaccessible.
6. CALIFORNIA CONSUMER PRIVACY ACT (CCPA) COMPLIANCE
For users residing in California, we comply with the CCPA. Since we do not sell personal information to third parties and do not collect identifiable personal data, your "Right to Opt-Out" is inherently protected by our architectural design.
7. GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR) COMPLIANCE
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we act as the "Data Controller" only for the minimal diagnostic data mentioned in Section 4. Our legal basis for processing is "Legitimate Interest" to provide a functional and secure application. You have the right to access, rectify, or erase any data Apple may hold on our behalf regarding your app usage.
8. DATA SECURITY AND RETENTION
We employ industry-standard encryption for the Privacy Vault within the App’s local sandbox. Since we do not host your data on servers, we do not "retain" your personal files. If you delete the Application, all data stored within the App's local sandbox (including the Vault) will be permanently erased by the iOS system.
9. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES
The App may contain links to our official website or legal documents. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites. We do not integrate third-party advertising SDKs that track user behavior across other apps.
