Paramore, the rock band led by Hayley Williams and currently also including Taylor York and Zac Farro, is one of the most enduring and beloved mid-00s rock bands. The band was created by Williams (signed as a soloist to Atlantic) in 2003 as a vehicle for her to have a rock career, which started in 2005 with the grief-filled pop punk album All We Know Is Falling, which got a weak commercial response in spite of its positive reception; follow-up album Riot!, released in 2007, was the band's breakthrough release, with its diverse set of pop rock tunes giving the band the levity to release a more mature record that move them away from their emo roots: 2009's brand new eyes, another critical and commercial hit. After a seismic change on their lineup, the band's return was slow but steady, first by releasing one loose single every month for four consecutive months in 2011 (compiled as Paramore Singles Club) and then with their 2013 eclectic album Paramore, which got them their largest moment in the mainstream and some of their best reviews at the moment. After another lineup change, the new wave-influenced After Laughter premiered in 2017 to critical acclaim but a mixed commercial reception. In 2020 Hayley, during a hiatus from the band, released a solo debut album, Petals for Armor to a warm reception.

Acclaimed in the pop, rock and indie community for their mixture of styles and relatable lyrics, Paramore has managed to arguably became the largest female-led rock band of the 21st century. During their career, the band has won a Grammy Award and one MTV Europe Music Award among other receipts.
