Flora
Flora
Flora is an app and a responsive website created for social good which helps people sponsor to plant saplings that grow into trees to make the world a better place for future generations.Â
People did not have time to plant saplings and care for the trees but wanted to contribute. Cultivating more trees was required to save the environment. Â
Â
To create a method where people can select and sponsor a tree/trees via donations to make them a part of a change.Â
UX designer designing an app and responsive website for “Flora” from conception to delivery.Â
In conducting research, the observations from users stated that people wanted to be a part of the impact but were unable to do so for various reasons. They wanted to help in any way which brought change to the environment.
By sponsoring trees, they feel like they are involved in the process without the commitment of physically taking care of the tree/trees. They also can track their tree/trees and get updates.Â
Based on the information derived from the user research, I created a persona whose demographics, motivations, goals and frustrations represent the user's needs.
I made a sitemap that indicated the Information Architecture (IA) of the website consisting of the parent and child webpages.
I created the digital wireframes based on the user research.

I designed three size variations which include designs for mobile, tablet and desktop versions. Optimized version creation took place considering user requirements and the display size for each device.
Detailed case study :
I made a detailed presentation that includes the research details for this project as a part of a Google UX course assignment by Coursera.
This project I worked on as a part of the UX course conducted by Google via Coursera has provided me with immense happiness. It was really eye-opening to design for social good. Thank you for your patience and for reading my UX case study.
