Service Writers are the first and last point of contact for customers at car dealerships and mechanic shops. They greet customers, gather information about the customer's car along with any issues they are experiencing. Service Writers then communicate with technicians about the issue the customer has been experiencing.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Greeting customers and asking them to explain the car issue.
Creating automotive work estimates by determining labor, supplies and materials needed.
Communicating cost, time estimate and warranty information to customers.
Responding to customer questions and communications during the service process.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License
High School Diploma
ASE Certification as Service Writer
