Thank you for choosing Clipzy! This Privacy Policy describes how Clipzy ("Clipzy," "we," "our," or "us") manages your data when you use the Clipzy mobile application (the "Application"). Clipzy provides AI-powered creative tools including face-swapping and video generation capabilities.
Your privacy matters to us. We handle your data only as outlined in this document and in accordance with applicable laws. By downloading and using the Application, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.
1. Data We Collect
a) Content You Provide
Images: We collect photographs you capture using the Application's camera feature or upload from your device gallery. Camera access requires your explicit permission.
Video Files: We process videos you create within the Application or upload from your device storage. Camera and storage access require your authorization.
b) Facial Data — Detailed Disclosure
What we collect: To deliver face-swap functionality, our AI systems analyze facial characteristics from your uploaded images or videos. This analysis includes detection and mapping of facial landmarks, expressions, and geometric features necessary to generate the requested creative output.
Purpose of processing: Face data is processed solely to generate the specific creative output you requested (face-swapping or video generation). We do not use face data for user identification, authentication, surveillance, marketing profiling, or any purpose other than producing your requested output.
FACE DATA IS NOT RETAINED: Face data is NOT retained after processing is complete. Facial analysis results are used exclusively during active processing and are permanently and irreversibly deleted upon completion of your request.
Temporary storage duration and reason: During processing, face data is temporarily held on our secure encrypted servers for a maximum of 24 hours. This 24-hour window exists solely to ensure reliable processing completion in the event of network interruptions, device connectivity issues, or processing queue delays. Face data is never stored indefinitely. Under normal conditions, deletion occurs immediately upon processing completion; the 24-hour period is a technical maximum, not a standard retention period.
Face data is NOT shared with third parties: Face data is never shared with, sold to, transferred to, or made accessible by any third party for any reason whatsoever. This prohibition is absolute and has no exceptions.
Third-party retention of face data: None of our third-party service providers (including infrastructure providers and analytics partners) receive, access, process, or store face data. Our infrastructure partners (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services) handle encrypted data packets but have no access to raw facial analysis results or biometric data derived therefrom. Our analytics partners (Firebase, AppsFlyer, Amplitude, Google Analytics, Facebook App Events) receive only anonymized technical and behavioral data — they receive no face data whatsoever.
No biometric identification: We do not store facial data as biometric identifiers and never use face data for user identification, recognition, or authentication purposes. Clipzy does not operate a facial recognition system.
c) Technical and Usage Information
The Application automatically collects certain technical data during use, including: interaction patterns within the Application, device IP address, device model and operating system version, mobile network details, unique identifiers (such as IDFA), geographic region, preferred language, battery status, and timezone settings.
We utilize analytics platforms including Google Analytics and Facebook App Event Tracking to collect technical metrics to understand user behavior, evaluate marketing effectiveness, and enhance Application performance.
d) Tracking Technologies
We employ cookies and similar tracking mechanisms to maintain session state and deliver Application features. Clipzy uses temporary session cookies that are automatically removed when you exit the Application. We may also implement pixels, beacons, and local storage technologies to support functionality and measure engagement.
2. How Your Data Is Used
Primary Functionality
Clipzy processes your images, videos, and facial characteristics exclusively to provide face-swapping and video generation services. We do not implement facial recognition systems or utilize your content for biometric authentication.
Processing Workflow
Content is uploaded to our secure, encrypted processing servers.
Our AI systems analyze the uploaded material and generate processing outputs.
The Application merges these outputs with your original content to create the final result.
Processed materials and face data are permanently deleted upon completion, and no later than 24 hours following your editing session.
Additional Uses of Technical Data
Information other than your images, videos, or facial data may be used to: deliver, optimize, and monitor Application performance; identify and resolve technical problems; maintain security and prevent abuse; study usage patterns and trends; build and evaluate new features; and personalize your experience.
3. Information Sharing Practices
Face Data — Third-Party Sharing Policy
Uploaded images and videos are deleted immediately upon completion of processing, and no later than 24 hours following your session. No facial analysis data is transmitted to, shared with, or accessible by any third party.
Infrastructure Providers
We utilize trusted cloud infrastructure including Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services. These providers process encrypted data to power our servers but have no access to facial analysis results or identifiable face data. They do not receive, store, or process face data in any form.
Analytics and Third-Party Integrations
Clipzy integrates the following third-party services for analytics, attribution, and performance monitoring. None of these services receive face data:
Firebase (Google) — application infrastructure and quality monitoring. Does not receive face data.
AppsFlyer — marketing attribution and analytics. Does not receive face data.
Amplitude — user behavior and product analytics. Does not receive face data.
Google Analytics — usage and traffic analysis. Does not receive face data.
Facebook App Event Tracking — event and engagement analytics. Does not receive face data.
These third-party services maintain their own privacy policies governing the non-face-data information they receive. We recommend reviewing their policies.
Cross-Border Transfers
When information is transferred internationally, we employ appropriate protections compliant with data protection regulations, including standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information (excluding face data, which is deleted before any such request could apply) when required by law, regulation, legal proceedings, or government requests, or when necessary to protect our rights, users, or public safety.
4. Data Storage and Security
Retention Periods
Face data and facial analysis results: Permanently deleted upon processing completion, maximum 24 hours. Not retained beyond this period under any circumstances.
Images and videos uploaded for processing: Deleted from Clipzy servers within 24 hours of your editing session. Content used with the Application is also stored locally on your device and can be removed by deleting files or uninstalling the Application.
Technical and analytics data: Retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the analytical purposes described in this Policy.
Anonymized, aggregated, or de-identified data: May be retained for analytical purposes. This data cannot be used to identify you or reconstruct face data.
Security Measures
We implement technical and organizational safeguards to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration. These include encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. We engage trusted service providers bound by data protection and confidentiality obligations.
5. User Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the following rights:
Access & Data Portability: Request information about personal data we process and receive a copy in structured, machine-readable format.
Correction: Request updates to inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
Deletion: Request removal of data when no longer necessary or when no legal basis exists for processing. Note that face data is already automatically deleted upon processing completion.
Processing Restriction: Request limited processing under circumstances defined by law.
Consent Withdrawal: Withdraw previously given consent without affecting prior lawful processing.
Objection: Object to certain processing activities, including marketing communications.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 9. Requests are processed free of charge unless otherwise allowed by law.
6. Response Timeline
We will address rights requests promptly and within one month of receipt. For complex or multiple requests, we may extend this period by up to two additional months and will notify you of any extension within the initial month, explaining the reasons. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Age Requirements and Children's Privacy
Minimum Age: The Application is designed for users aged 13 and older. Users under 13 are prohibited from using the Application or providing personal information. Users under 18 should obtain parental or guardian consent before sharing personal data with Clipzy.
European Union Users: Due to GDPR requirements, EU residents must be at least 16 years old to use the Application unless valid parental or guardian consent is obtained.
If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal data from users below the minimum age, we will promptly delete such information. If you become aware of underage use, please contact us immediately.
8. Policy Updates
We may modify this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in legal requirements, regulations, or operational practices. Updates will be posted within the Application and communicated through other channels. Continued use of the Application one week after notification constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy, unless applicable law requires explicit consent.
