As Players progress, their Dominions will expand to accomodate new people and Pokemon. This is represented by Land Claims, parcels of land held by the varying Dominions. These portions of land are carefully marked and developed as a measure against the landscape altering effects of the Myst.
Players will primarily receive new Land Claims as part of an Investigation reward, which have a chance to include Land Claims of one of the types available from the biome or landmark being investigated. Use of a Claim Stakes item during an Investigation will guarentee a Land Claim is included as part of the reward.
A Land Claim gives a Player 10 inventory slots for Pokemon of the type of the Claim, and an additional space for the construction of a Settlement.
Once a Player has made claim on a parcel of land, the next step is to develop it. The beginning of any development is the Settlement. A Player can purchase a Settlement at the market for 100 Tetras, as long as they have fewer Settlements than Land Claims. A count of constructed Settlements and owned Land Claims can be found in a player's inventory. A Claim which is developed to include a Settlement will grant an additional 5 inventory slots for pokemon of any typing and a Development point with which to construct one of a variety of buildings, which will grant a variety of passive or recurring benefits and rewards.
