Secondly, the level curve is awful. Battling every trainer and wild pokemon you encounter, and still being 10 levels beneath the 3rd gym does not make a good progression system. I'm not saying it should be easy but the levelling should be fluid with the game itself. Like in Pokemon blue, when Blaine's Rapidash is lvl 52, your Pokemon are in the mid-high 40s. Not 35-40 with leaders being 50-55 For example, at the second gym in Vega, the highest wild Pokemon level is level 12. The second gym leader has a level 23 Hitmonchan with a perfect coverage moveset. The other Pokemons of the second gym leader are pretty tough too, so you pretty much need the same number of Pokemon at the same level as the gym leader to stand a chance at winning. You might even need to outlevel them to stand on equal footing because the gym leaders' Pokemon are fully evolved with high stats, have access to better moves than you do, hold extremely good items, have insane type coverage, and at times essentially cheat to get it (i.e. Blastoise with Flamethrower). Grinding lvl 12 wilds to level up is very tedious and just feels like a waste of your time. Another problem with this is that wild encounters and normal trainer battles between gyms will feel like a cakewalk due to the huge level differences. Which is not fun because their level is so low that you'll just oneshot everything without ever seeing their moveset. Wild encounters and trainer battles makes up a large of the game but Vega makes them feel like meaningless obstacles to the next gym. I tried to mitigate this by keeping two teams in my roster, one for normal battles and one for gym battles, but this made grinding even more of a chore.

There's another hack entitled Vega Minus which attempts to fix this by lowering the lvl of the gym leaders' pokemon a bit but it is still not enough imo. I lost interest and dropped Vega halfway through because the difficulty feels very artificial and designed to waste my time. Looking at others' comments on forums, apparently I am not the only one.

Just like Sirius, this run introduced a whole new set of "fakemon" chat badges awarded to viewers upon capture, with their own set of numbers ranging from #161-vega to #385-vega. This time however, the system was nerfed so that, unlike regular badges which are awarded to five random players who have inputted in the previous 30 minutes, "fakemon" badges would drop to every single player who has inputted either during the previous 5 minutes or during the last battle. This was done in order to prevent "fakemon" badges from becoming overly rare and/or being awarded strictly to inactive users.

The creators of the Pokemon - Vega ROM & ISO game took their time to create an entirely new game without borrowing much from existing pokemon originals. Built for GBA, the Vega game features a brand new map, an original soundtrack that trumps most pokemon games, an increased difficulty level curve, and an entirely new pokemon population. 2351a5e196
