• Zero Telemetry or Analytics: There are no third-party tracking scripts, Google Analytics, or remote logging servers attached to this extension.
• Zero Game Credential Access: The extension interacts strictly with the client-side game state object already loaded in your active browser window for that game session.
3. PERMISSIONS BREAKDOWN & WHY THEY ARE USED
The extension declares only the absolute minimum set of permissions necessary to deliver its core functionality:
a) Host Permission ("https://pokelike.xyz/*")
• Why it is needed: Allows the extension to inject the floating mod menu UI and listen for game state changes specifically when you visit pokelike.xyz.
• Scope: Strictly limited to https://pokelike.xyz/*. The extension has zero access to any other website, tab, or domain in your browser.
b) Chrome Storage API ("storage")
• Why it is needed: Used solely to store your personal user interface preferences locally on your computer (such as whether you collapsed specific menu cards or your preferred screen positioning).
• Scope: Data stored with this API never leaves your browser and can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension data.
4. ARE ALL THESE PERMISSIONS STRICTLY NECESSARY?
Yes, and each permission has been strictly audited to adhere to the Principle of Least Privilege:
• Why not activeTab? While some extensions use activeTab, activeTab requires user action (clicking the extension icon) on every page refresh before any script can run. Because PokeLike Mod Menu is an in-game HUD designed to appear seamlessly whenever you play the game, host permission for pokelike.xyz is the proper, least intrusive, and most reliable method.
• Why not broad URL patterns? The extension explicitly restricts host permissions to "https://pokelike.xyz/*" instead of broad patterns like "<all_urls>" or "*://*/*". It cannot see or interact with any other site you browse.
• No Background Telemetry or Network Permissions: The extension does not request "webRequest", "cookies", "identity", "history", or external fetch permissions. It cannot intercept network traffic or contact external servers.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & ADVERTISEMENTS
PokeLike Mod Menu does not serve ads, does not monetize through data brokers, and does not include any third-party SDKs.
6. DATA RETENTION & SECURITY
Because no data is transmitted or collected on external servers, there is no central database of user information. All actions executed in the mod menu occur in real-time in your browser's volatile JavaScript memory (RAM) and disappear when you close the tab.
