Core Leadership Training

New leaders and adult volunteers gain an overview of the Girl Scout organization and the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE). At least one Core Leadership-trained adult must be present at all Girl Scout meetings and outings. Take these steps in order:

1. Volunteer Application and Background Check

The first step to becoming a new leader is to complete a volunteer Application and Background Check. Any adult that will be volunteering needs to complete a background check. If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact our volunteer services team at customercare@sdgirlscouts.org or (619) 610-0821. FAQ's about Background check HERE
