Developing Future Digital Workplace for Logistic 4.0

Abstract

This project’s aim is to develop a cost-effective “Freight Digital Workplace” for a global logistics company comprising work streams for server, network and desktop with the goal of achieving no loss of visibility of shipment information, enabling the sustainable satisfaction of customer demands with optimised costs of services with the use of emerging technologies, such as Internet of Things, optimised decision making, and Big Data/Data Mining (DM) and cloud computing. With decision analysis model, it helps the company to develop a cost-effective Digital workplace. Moreover, it gives the solution for the decision maker to analyze the best strategy for businesses to achieve highly efficient, rational and automated storage resources. This project also shows that AHP can be used to help the company analyzes these multi-criteria problems. By using different methods of sensitivity analysis it is possible to show whether the results of a particular study are robust over a range of assumptions or hinge on the accuracy of particular assumptions. Furthermore, cost-effectiveness analysis combines cost data with effectiveness data that are ordinarily available from an evaluation to create a cost-effectiveness comparison. Further, it lends itself well to an evaluation of alternatives that are being considered for a particular company goal.
