PoemScroll ("the App") does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The App is a simple poetry reader that displays random poems from a public API.
We collect no personal information. The App does not require an account, registration, or login. We do not collect names, email addresses, device identifiers, location data, or any other personally identifiable information.
The App does not use analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry services. No usage data, diagnostics, or device information is collected or transmitted.
Poetry Content: The App fetches poems from the free public API at https://poetrydb.org/random. This is a simple GET request with no user data attached. No identifying information is sent with these requests.
Local Storage: The App stores the following data locally on your device only:
A cache of recently viewed poems (up to 50)
Your favorite poem IDs
Your dark/light theme preference
This data never leaves your device.
Share & Copy: When you share or copy a poem, the App uses your device's built-in share sheet or clipboard. These actions are handled entirely by your operating system and are not transmitted to us.
The App uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service contacted is the PoetryDB public API for fetching poem content.
Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, there are no data security risks related to user information.
The App does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
We may update this policy as needed. Changes will be posted here with an updated date.
