Partnering with Lowell Celebrates Kerouac! honoring Lowell-born author, Jack Kerouac
On Aug. 29, 1849, one month before his death in Baltimore, Poe wrote his mother in-law and aunt, Maria Clemm,
and in this haunted letter, he asked her, "Could we be happier in Richmond or Lowell?" With Poe in Lowell, we hope to make Lowell a welcome place for Poe's spirit, and those he loved, whenever they choose to visit.
