If you want a dedicated, durable charging solution for your older Beats Powerbeats 3 or Solo 3 headphones that prioritizes safety and longevity, choose Podokas USB Charger Cord; if you need a versatile 2-in-1 adapter to listen to high-resolution audio while simultaneously fast-charging a modern smartphone with a USB-C port, choose AVMAX USB C.
This isn't about guessing which cable is cheaper or reading through thousands of vague reviews. It's about matching the right tool to your specific hardware. One product is a single-purpose lifeline for legacy audio gear, while the other is a modern bridge between high-fidelity sound and rapid power delivery. I've analyzed the specifications, the intended use cases, and the design limitations of both items to help you decide which one belongs in your bag. Whether you are dealing with low latency bluetooth earbuds for big ears that have seen better days, or you are looking for the best bluetooth headset for big ears that can handle a heavy listening session without draining your phone, the choice comes down to compatibility and function.
• Podokas USB Charger Cord: Its greatest strength is the specialized aluminum alloy construction designed specifically to protect battery health in older Beats models, but its trade-off is extremely limited compatibility—it only works with Micro USB ports on specific legacy devices.
• AVMAX USB C Adapter: Its biggest advantage is the dual-function capability of simultaneous high-res audio playback and 60W PD fast charging, yet it trades off data transfer capabilities and requires a device with a USB-C port.
• Who is this for?: Choose Podokas if you own Beats Powerbeats 3, Solo 3, or Pill speakers and need a reliable replacement cable; choose AVMAX if you own a modern iPhone 15/16/17 series, Samsung Galaxy S24/S25, or Pixel device and refuse to choose between music and battery life.
The Podokas USB Charger Cord is not a generic accessory; it is a targeted solution for owners of the Beats by Dr. Dre ecosystem, specifically those who still rely on the "Micro" jack version of their gear. If you have a pair of Powerbeats 3 Wireless headphones or a Solo 3 that has lost its original charger, this cord is built to fill that exact gap. The design features a black, round shape with a length of 3.9 feet (1.2 meters), offering enough slack for comfortable movement without being cumbersome. This isn't just marketing fluff; it implies a focus on preventing battery loss and aging, which is critical for wireless earphones that have already endured years of charge cycles.
The build quality relies on an aluminum alloy shell combined with PVC flame-retardant material. This suggests a durability factor that goes beyond simple plastic wrapping, aiming to withstand the daily tugging and winding that happens when you toss your headphones into a gym bag. However, you must be acutely aware of what this cable cannot do. It is strictly incompatible with the newer Apple H1 headphone chip versions. If you have a Beats Studio Buds, Flex, X, Powerbeats Pro, or Solo Pro, this cable will not fit or work. It also does not support the newer Lightning or USB-C inputs found on modern phones. It is a single-purpose tool for a specific set of legacy devices.

You should buy the Podokas if you are looking for a sweat resistant open ear earbuds for big ears replacement part, provided those earbuds happen to be the Micro USB version of the Powerbeats line. The cable is rated for both indoor and outdoor usage, making it suitable for runners or gym-goers who need a robust connection. However, if you are holding a newer model of any Beats product, or if you simply need a standard USB cable for a laptop or tablet, this is not the right purchase. It is too niche to be a general-purpose cable. It exists solely to extend the life of specific, older headphones that use the Micro USB interface for charging.
The AVMAX USB C to 3.5mm Headphone Audio and Charger Adapter serves a completely different demographic: users of modern smartphones that have eliminated the traditional headphone jack. This device is designed for those who refuse to compromise on audio quality while needing to keep their battery topped up. The core feature here is the 2-in-1 design, allowing you to listen to music, take calls, play games, or watch videos while the device receives power. It supports up to 60W PD (Power Delivery) fast charging, utilizing advanced standards like PD, QC, AFC, and PPS. This means it intelligently identifies the voltage and current required by your specific device, delivering stable power to protect your equipment from overcharging or overheating.
Audio performance is another major selling point. The adapter is equipped with a high-performance DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) chip capable of handling 32-bit/384kHz high-resolution audio. For audiophiles or anyone sensitive to sound quality, this translates to effective noise reduction and high-fidelity transmission. The goal is to eliminate current noise and distortion, providing clear, gentle sound that protects your hearing during long sessions. This makes it particularly appealing for those who use wired headphones for better clarity than Bluetooth offers, especially when they have large ears and need a secure, non-intrusive fit that doesn't cause fatigue.
However, there is a significant trade-off: this adapter does not support data transfer. It is purely for audio and power. You cannot use it to sync files or connect to a computer for data purposes. Additionally, it is strictly limited to devices with a USB-C port. While the compatibility list is vast—covering the latest iPhone 17/16/15 series, Samsung Galaxy S24/S25 series, Google Pixel 9/10 series, and even some laptops like the MacBook Air and iPad Pro—it won't work with older devices using Lightning or Micro USB ports. If you own a modern Android phone or the latest iPhones and want to use your favorite 3.5mm headphones without sacrificing battery life, this is the ideal tool. It is a functional bridge for the modern era, replacing the dongle anxiety with a single, reliable connection point.

In my opinion, the decision rests entirely on what hardware you currently own, as these two products operate in completely different universes. If you are trying to keep a pair of older Powerbeats 3 alive, the Podokas USB Charger Cord is the clear winner because it is the only one that physically fits and addresses the specific needs of that legacy hardware. However, for the vast majority of people today, especially those seeking low latency bluetooth earbuds for big ears alternatives via wired connections, the AVMAX USB C is the superior investment. It solves the modern problem of losing the headphone jack while maintaining fast charging speeds. I would personally grab the AVMAX adapter if I were carrying a modern phone and wanted to ensure my music never stops playing while my battery drains. It offers more utility and future-proofing for the average user.
