• Youth Radio is a nonprofit that works with teenagers to create media for national organizations. Their DIY toolkits for educators cover topics such as recording high-quality audio on a phone, interviewing techniques, and voice control. . In particular, check out How to Make a Podcast.

Technology for Podcasting

• Soundcloud: with a free account users can upload 180 minutes of recordings. Users can choose whether to share publicly or privately.
• Voicethread: instructors can create up to 5 class threads with a free account, or purchase a single instructor license for $99 a year.
