Pokit Technologies Private Limited ("we", "our", or "us") built the Pocket Writer app as a platform to empower creators to express themselves through written content, aided by AI. • Email Address – collected during sign-in using Google Authentication

• Photos and Media – only when uploaded by the user through gallery access

• Device Information – such as device model, OS version

• App Usage Data – anonymized usage patterns to improve app performance

2. How We Collect Data

• Information like Email and Name is fetched during Google Sign-In.

• Phone numbers and media files are manually provided by the user during signup or content creation.

• No data is collected when the app is running in the background.

3. Permissions Required

The app requests access to the following permission:

• Storage/Gallery: To allow users to upload images into their content. This is essential for core functionality.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data to:

• Authenticate users and manage accounts

• Enable AI-assisted content creation and publishing

• Improve app functionality and user experience

• Provide customer support

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage & Security

• Your data is stored on secure third-party cloud services, primarily Firebase.

• Data is retained until the user deletes their account.

• While we take reasonable steps to secure your information, data is not encrypted at rest or during transmission at this time.

• We use the following third-party services which may collect information as per their own privacy policies:

• Firebase (for Authentication, Realtime Database, and Crashlytics)

• We do not use any ad networks.

7. Children’s Privacy

Pocket Writer is accessible to users under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13 without parental consent, as per applicable laws. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at official@pocketwriter.in and we will take steps to delete such information.

Currently, there is no option to opt out of app analytics or tracking.
