1. Overview
PocketTurn is a page-turning utility for musicians. It runs entirely on your iPhone and iPad and works by connecting the two devices over Bluetooth LE. We do not own or operate any servers, and we do not collect, store, or share personal data.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
No names, e-mail addresses, or phone numbers
No account log-ins or passwords
No payment information
No analytics, crash logs, or advertising identifiers
No location data, device ID, or contact lists
No third-party tracking SDKs
3. Bluetooth Communication
PocketTurn uses Apple’s CoreBluetooth framework to pair your devices locally.
All communication stays between your iPhone and iPad.
Nothing is sent to external servers.
The connection uses Apple’s encrypted BLE protocol.
4. PDFs and Local Files
You open PDF scores that are already stored on your device (Files/iCloud Drive).
We do not upload or scan the content of your files.
All PDFs remain in local storage, under your control.
5. Children’s Privacy
PocketTurn is rated 4+ on the App Store and is safe for all ages. Because we do not collect personal data, we comply with COPPA and similar child-privacy laws.
6. Security
All data stays on-device.
Bluetooth packets are encrypted by iOS/iPadOS.
We recommend keeping your devices updated to the latest OS version for Apple’s latest security patches.
7. Your Rights
Because no personal data is collected or stored, there is no data to access, correct, or delete. If you uninstall the app, all associated data (settings and cached PDFs) is removed from your device.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we add features that involve data collection, we will:
Update this policy,
Update the App Privacy section on the App Store, and
Display a notice inside the app on first launch after the change.
