PocketSwizz Privacy Policy

PocketSwizz is designed with user privacy in mind. Most features operate entirely on your device, and we do not require you to create an account.

On-Device Processing

PocketSwizz does not require user registration or login.

Calculators, converters, generators, scanners, document tools, sensor utilities, and most other features process data directly on your device.

PocketSwizz does not sell your personal information.

Advertising

PocketSwizz displays banner advertisements using Google Mobile Ads (AdMob).

Google and its advertising partners may collect information such as:

• Device identifiers

• App activity

• Approximate location inferred from network information

• Diagnostics

• Advertisement interaction information

This information helps Google serve, measure, and improve advertisements.

PocketSwizz does not receive or store:

• Precise location

• Contacts

• Personal files

• Scanner content

• OCR text

• Calculator inputs

• Saved utility history through advertisements

Scanning and Google ML Kit

PocketSwizz uses Google ML Kit for:

• OCR (Text Recognition)

• QR Code Scanning

• Barcode Scanning

• Document Scanning

Image processing and text recognition occur primarily on your device.

According to Google, ML Kit may collect diagnostic information such as:

• Device information

• App version

• Per-installation identifiers

• Performance metrics

• API configuration

• Feature usage

• Error reports

This telemetry is encrypted using HTTPS and is used only for diagnostics and service improvement.

PocketSwizz does not receive or store scanned documents, recognized text, or ML Kit telemetry.

BMI Calculator

The BMI Calculator processes height and weight entirely on your device. Raw inputs are not retained.

If you choose Save to Recent, only the calculated BMI value and category are stored locally.

PocketSwizz is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

Permissions

PocketSwizz requests permissions only when required.

Camera

Used only after you explicitly choose:

• QR/Barcode Scanner

• OCR Scanner

• Document Scanner

• Image Capture

Photo Picker

When selecting an existing image, Android grants access only to the selected file.

Storage

On Android 9 and earlier, storage permission is requested only when you choose to save files.

Sensors

The Compass utility may access:

• Accelerometer

• Magnetometer

• Orientation sensors

These readings are used only to display compass information. PocketSwizz does not request or collect your GPS location.

Internet access is used only where required for Android system services, Google ML Kit, and advertisements.

Most calculators and converters work completely offline.

Local Storage

PocketSwizz stores data only on your device.

This includes:

• Up to 10 recently opened utilities

• Up to 10 saved calculation results

• Favorites

• Quick Access preferences

This information remains until you:

• Delete individual entries

• Select Clear All

• Clear app storage

• Uninstall the application

OCR text is not automatically stored.

Temporary scan files are deleted unless you explicitly save or share them.

Backups

PocketSwizz excludes app preferences, recent utility history, and recent calculation history from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer.

Files exported outside the app remain subject to your Android backup and storage settings.

Sharing

PocketSwizz shares text or files only when you choose the Share option.

After sharing, the receiving application handles the content according to its own privacy policy.

Data Deletion

You can delete locally stored information by:

• Removing items from Recent History

• Selecting Clear All

• Clearing the application's storage

• Uninstalling PocketSwizz

Exported files must be deleted separately using your Gallery or File Manager.
