PocketPig helps families manage children's pocket money, chores, savings goals, and behaviour rewards. To do that, a parent enters information such as children's first names, chosen avatar emojis, chore lists, money amounts, savings goals, and behaviour notes.
All of this information is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. It is never transmitted to the developer, to Apple beyond standard iOS functioning, or to any third party.
No accounts — the app has no sign-up, login, or user profiles held by us.
No servers — the app makes no network connections and has no backend.
No analytics or tracking — we use no analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or tracking technologies of any kind.
No third-party services — no data is shared with, or processed by, any other company.
No advertising — the app contains no ads.
PocketPig is a family tool administered by a parent or guardian. Information about children (such as a first name and avatar) is entered by the parent and remains on the family's own device. Because the app collects and transmits no data, no personal information about any child is ever received, stored, or processed by the developer.
If you enable chore reminders or approval notifications, these are local notifications scheduled entirely on your device by iOS. No notification content leaves your device.
If you set a parent passcode, it is stored on your device only, protected as a cryptographic hash (SHA-256). The passcode is never transmitted anywhere and cannot be read back from the stored value.
The app keeps automatic backups of your family's data on your device. You can also export a backup file yourself using the iOS share sheet. If you choose to share or store an exported file (for example, by emailing it or saving it to a cloud drive), that action is under your control and subject to the privacy practices of whatever service you share it with. Your device's own iCloud or iTunes backup may include the app's data as part of Apple's standard device backup, under Apple's privacy terms.
Your data exists only on your device, so you are always in control of it. You can delete individual records inside the app, delete a child's profile, or remove all data permanently by deleting the app. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
If a future version of the app changes how information is handled — for example, if an optional sync feature were ever added — this policy will be updated first, and the effective date above will change. The current version of the policy will always be available at this address.
