Pocket Ledger is designed to work primarily with data you enter in the app, such as:

- Categories, transaction media, and preferences

- Reminder/alert details you create

2. How Your Data Is Stored

- Your app data is stored locally on your device using an internal database.

- We do not sell your personal data.

- We do not use in-app advertising SDKs.

3. Permissions and Why They Are Used

Pocket Ledger may request the following permissions on Android:

- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To show reminder and alert notifications.

- SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM: To schedule reminder alerts at precise times.

- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: To restore scheduled alerts after device restart.

These permissions are used only to deliver app features you choose to use.

4. Import/Export and Sharing

- The app allows importing/exporting records using Excel files.

- The app allows exporting statements as PDF and sharing/saving them through apps available on your device.

- Files you export are stored in locations you choose, and their handling then depends on your device and selected apps.

5. Network Use

Pocket Ledger does not require account creation for core functionality. The app is intended to operate without mandatory cloud sync.

6. Data Retention and Control

- You can edit or delete records from within the app.

- If you uninstall the app, locally stored app data may be removed according to your device OS behavior.

- Exported files remain where you saved/shared them unless you delete them manually.

7. Children’s Privacy

Pocket Ledger is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through online services.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to keep local app data handled safely within the app environment. However, no method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed 100% secure.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions should include a revised effective date.
