29th Annual Pacific Northwest Numerical Analysis Seminar

Saturday, November 12, 2016

9am - 5pm

Room 216, Consolidated Information Center

Washington State University, Tri-Cities

Richland, Washington

We are pleased to announce that PNWNAS 2016, the 29th Annual Pacific Northwest Numerical Analysis Seminar, will be hosted by the Washington State University School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) at WSU's Tri-Cities campus in Richland. It will be held in the conference facilities of the Consolidated Information Center (CIC), primarily in Room 216. (This is the same location as PNWNAS 1998.) The CIC houses the combined libraries of WSU-TC and the Hanford Site Technical Library. It sits 100 meters from the Columbia River with views of the sagebrush shrub-steppe of the Hanford Site and the irrigated agriculture of the Columbia Basin.

We are currently lining up a number of presentations on current research in and applications of numerical computing. We will be updating the program as this progresses.

Lunch and breaks will be provided by SEAS. There is no charge to attend the conference, but we do need attendees to register to plan food and beverages.

On Saturday night, there will be a no-host dinner at a local winery and on Sunday morning there will be a technically-detailed guided tour of the Laser Interferometric Gravitational Observatory (LIGO) (see the program for details).

Please mark November 12, 2016 on your calendar for PNWNAS and send in your registration.
