If you want a dedicated swimming companion that doubles as an MP3 player with deep-water durability, choose Pmjebe Bone Conduction Swimming; if you need a lightweight, single-earpiece option for land-based cardio with a focus on privacy and compact fit, choose Keenso GD28.
• Pmjebe Bone Conduction Swimming: Its biggest strength is the dual-mode capability (Bluetooth 5.4 + built-in 8GB storage) paired with IP68/IPX8 waterproofing for actual submersion; its trade-off is the bone conduction audio style which may not appeal to those who demand traditional bass-heavy stereo immersion. This pick is for serious swimmers and runners who need to stay aware of their environment while listening to music without water damage worries.
• Keenso GD28: Its biggest strength is the ergonomic, single-earpiece design that offers leakproof sound isolation and HIFI stereo clarity for land use; its trade-off is a lower IPX4 rating that handles sweat but cannot survive submersion or heavy rain. This pick is for gym-goers, joggers, and cyclists who prioritize a discreet fit and clear calls over aquatic capability.
The Pmjebe Bone Conduction Swimming headset is engineered for a very specific, high-intensity lifestyle where water is a constant factor. If your exercise routine involves laps in a pool, this device is not just an accessory; it is a necessity. This level of protection transforms how you approach training. You no longer have to worry about splashes ruining your gear or moisture seeping into delicate electronics during a sweaty run or a torrential downpour. The ability to take this directly into the water allows for a seamless transition from dry land workouts to aquatic sessions without swapping devices.
What truly sets this unit apart for the active user is its hybrid connectivity. It features Bluetooth 5.4 for stable wireless streaming, but more importantly, it includes a built-in 8GB MP3 player capable of holding up to 3,000 songs. This means you can leave your phone behind entirely. Whether you are doing a long-distance swim where carrying a phone is impossible, or simply want to reduce clutter during a morning jog, having local storage ensures your music never skips due to a weak signal or a dropped call. The support for multiple formats like M4A, MP3, WAV, WMA, AAC, and FLAC adds versatility to your library management. You get the freedom of wireless technology with the reliability of offline playback.
Comfort is another pillar of the Pmjebe design, specifically tailored for extended wear during intense physical activity. The ultra-light construction and soft silicone frame are designed to eliminate the pressure points often associated with traditional in-ear headphones. Because these are open-ear bone conduction headphones, they do not block your ear canal. This keeps your ears cool and healthy even after hours of sweating, preventing the muffled feeling or "plugged" sensation that can distract you from your workout. The ergonomic shape ensures they stay securely in place whether you are zipping around on a skateboard, running through a park, or performing vigorous gym sessions. The 10-hour battery life further supports this endurance-focused design, allowing you to listen lap by lap or track by track without frequent recharging.

However, this product is not for everyone. The bone conduction technology delivers sound differently than standard drivers. While it provides rich bass and crisp highs through a 16mm speaker driver and precise sound chamber design, the audio experience relies on vibrating the cheekbones rather than pushing air into the ear canal. If your primary goal is absolute silence from the outside world or you prefer the deep, immersive bass of noise-canceling in-ear buds, this might feel thin. Additionally, the lack of active noise control means you will hear everything around you—traffic, conversations, and gym chatter. For some, this is a safety feature; for others, it is a distraction. But for the swimmer who needs to know what is happening above the water surface, this openness is a non-negotiable advantage.
The Keenso GD28 serves a different niche entirely, targeting users who prioritize terrestrial exercise and a discreet audio experience. Unlike the dual-mode Pmjebe, this is a single-earpiece solution designed for those who want to keep one ear free for conversation or environmental awareness while still enjoying high-fidelity audio. The ergonomic fit is described as snug and comfortable for all-day wear, making it ideal for long shifts at the gym or extended runs where bulkier headphones would be cumbersome. The single-earpiece design allows for a minimalist aesthetic that blends into your workout attire without drawing attention, which appeals to users who value a streamlined look.
Audio quality is a central selling point for the GD28, boasting HiFi stereo surround sound and noise reduction capabilities. This suggests a richer, more traditional listening experience compared to the open-air nature of bone conduction. The leakproof design is particularly interesting; it prevents sound leakage so that your music stays private, a common annoyance with many open-ear designs. If you work out in a shared space like a busy gym floor or a quiet library where you don't want to disturb others, this feature is a significant benefit. The one-control multifunction blind press design simplifies operation, letting you manage music and calls with a single touch, which is crucial when your hands are full or covered in sweat.
Durability for land-based sports is solid, with an IPX4 rating protecting against sweat and rain. This makes it suitable for intense cardio sessions, cycling in light showers, or outdoor hiking. However, the limitations are clear when looking at the water resistance spec. It is not designed for submersion. You cannot wear this in the pool or take it for a swim. The difference between IPX4 and the IP68/IPX8 found in the competitor is stark; one protects against splashes, the other survives being underwater. Therefore, if your exercise regimen includes any form of aquatic activity, the Keenso GD28 is simply not the right tool for the job.
The trade-off here lies in the single-earpiece format and the lack of internal storage. Without a built-in MP3 player, you must pair this device with a smartphone via the specified connectivity. While the Bluetooth range is listed as 33 feet, relying on a phone tethered to your pocket or arm band adds a layer of dependency. For users who love the freedom of going phone-free, this is a drawback. Furthermore, the warranty description indicates a 90-day manufacturer warranty, which is shorter than the one-year coverage offered by the Pmjebe. While this does not impact performance, it is a factor for buyers concerned with long-term reliability and support. Ultimately, the Keenso GD28 fits the runner, cyclist, or gym enthusiast who wants a secure, private, and high-quality audio feed without the bulk of a full headset or the complexity of waterproofing.
• Best for swimming and water sports → Pmjebe Bone Conduction Swimming. With an IP68/IPX8 rating and the ability to withstand submersion up to 5 meters, this is the only viable option for pool training.
• Best for phone-free listening → Pmjebe Bone Conduction Swimming. The built-in 8GB storage allows you to carry thousands of tracks without needing your phone nearby.
• Best for privacy and leak prevention → Keenso GD28. The leakproof earhole design ensures your music doesn't disturb those around you, unlike the open-ear design of the Pmjebe.
• Best for all-day comfort in hot weather → Pmjebe Bone Conduction Swimming. The open-ear design keeps your ear canal breathable and cool, whereas in-ear styles can trap heat and moisture.
• Best for HiFi stereo immersion → Keenso GD28. The HIFI stereo surround sound and noise reduction offer a more traditional, immersive audio profile for land-based activities.
• Best for long-term warranty security → Pmjebe Bone Conduction Swimming. It comes with a one-year warranty, offering more peace of mind than the 90-day coverage on the Keenso.
• Best for single-ear convenience → Keenso GD28. The single-earpiece form factor is less intrusive and easier to manage for quick interactions or calls during a workout.
• Best for battery endurance → Pmjebe Bone Conduction Swimming. With a guaranteed 10 hours of music playback, it supports longer training sessions without interruption.
In my opinion, for exercise involving any water component, the Pmjebe Bone Conduction Swimming is the superior choice without hesitation. The combination of true waterproofing and the freedom of built-in storage creates a utility that the Keenso GD28 simply cannot match. I would buy the Pmjebe because it solves the two biggest problems for active people: keeping music safe from water and removing the need to carry a phone. The bone conduction technology also offers a safety edge that is critical for outdoor runners and cyclists who need to hear traffic.
However, if your exercise is strictly confined to the gym, road, or trail with no risk of getting wet, the Keenso GD28 holds its ground. Its HiFi sound and leakproof design make it a compelling, private alternative for those who dislike the open-ear feel of bone conduction. But for the versatile athlete who wants one device to handle everything from a rainy run to a pool swim, the Pmjebe is the definitive winner. It is the most robust, feature-rich option for the modern active lifestyle.
The Pmjebe Bone Conduction Swimming is excellent for calls during exercise due to its open-ear design and Bluetooth 5.4 stability, though it lacks active noise cancellation for total silence. The Keenso GD28 focuses on HiFi stereo sound and noise reduction, making it better for private listening but potentially less optimized for loud environments compared to the dedicated open-ear model.
The Pmjebe offers inherent transparency because it does not cover the ear canal, allowing you to hear your surroundings naturally. The Keenso GD28 uses a single-earpiece design which also leaves one ear open, providing good situational awareness, but the Pmjebe's bone conduction method ensures both ears remain fully alert to environmental sounds.
Neither product explicitly lists a "fast charging" specification in the provided data sheets. The Pmjebe offers a substantial 10-hour battery life, which reduces the frequency of charging needed. The Keenso GD28 battery life details are not specified beyond general durability claims, so neither can be confirmed as having a specific fast-charging feature based on the available facts.
