Our big-screen apps (such as Android TV, Apple TV, smart TVs, etc.) generally allow you to connect the app to your account by way of a 4-character link code. This allows you to connect to your account without having to laboriously enter login credentials via an on-screen keyboard or similar.

• The first thing you’ll generally see is an information screen, giving a little info about Plex and telling you where to sign up to create an account if you don’t have one already. Assuming you do have an account, you can choose the Sign In button.

• You’ll be presented with a 4-character code, which is what you’ll use to connect the app with your Plex account.

• In your browser on your desktop or mobile device, go to Plex.tv/link and ensure that you’re signed into the appropriate Plex account. Enter the 4-character code and submit.

• After the code is submitted, your player app will refresh itself a few seconds later and be linked with your account.

For those whose TV does not provide support in the above ways, you guys do not have to worry at all. Once a wise man said, where there is a will there’s always a way. So here is your way to savor the Plex.tv/link at any time you want with your friends and family.

1. Streaming Sticks or Dongles will help you watch your favorite Romantic Flick with your partner or an Action Thriller with your gang. These devices have already begun to become a part of daily life for those people who do not have TV sets that have inbuilt casting capabilities. There are literally n-number of options in the market, but only a few rules the market, these include the likes of Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire Stick, and Roku Stick.

2. Set-Top Boxes can be another option for you that will allow you to connect to the Plex TV Link. Though Set-Top boxes are going to cost you a lot more than any of the above options, if you are looking to expand your media capabilities on your TV it won’t be a bad decision. Boxes like Apple TV and Roku both provide full functionality to the Plex application.

Click the Sign-Up button in the menubar to bring you to a form where you can create a new Plex account.

• Continue with Google: Sign up using your Google Account. A new window from Google will appear for confirmation.

• Continue with Facebook: Sign up using your Facebook account. A new window from Facebook will appear for confirmation.

• Continue with Apple: Sign up using your Apple account. You will be redirected to Apple’s site for confirmation.

• Directly with Email: Sign up using your email address and create a password. Be sure to double-check that you entered both correctly!

If you’ve forgotten your password and need to have it reset, you can find a Forgot? link on email sign-in form.

Enter your email address and submit the form. If the address matches an existing, active Plex account, an email will be sent that contains instructions on resetting the account password.
