CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS COLD WAR
Black Ops Cold War, the direct sequel to Call of Duty®: Black Ops, will drop fans into the depths of the Cold War’s volatile geopolitical battle of the early 1980s. Nothing is ever as it seems in a gripping single-player Campaign, where players will come face-to-face with historical figures and hard truths, as they battle around the globe through iconic locales like East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, Soviet KGB headquarters and more. . The mechanic of not actually losing souls is odd — you might as well do, it makes the game a bit easier where it really didn’t need to be. The exploration is fine, and it does feel like a giant adventure at first. I expecially loved the dark chariot that can carry you to otherwise inaccessible parts of the map — you really feel like you’ve stumbled upon a secret when you do. The fights are also fun. You now have three weapons to choose from, each with its own gimmicks — and each also serving as a way of traversal. That makes your original weapon choice influence the routes you can take, which is an interesting idea, and sometimes it makes sense to switch (and learn) different weapons for different enemies.
Acting as a New Game+ system, each time you win the game under an increased number of Cells, you unlock a new Boss Cell. These increase the difficulty of the game – mostly by introducing harder enemies and reducing and/or removing the healing stations between levels. There are good and bad jokes and story is fine. Class abilities and melee felt slow and clunky though. Took me around 20 hours to finish the story while doing many sidequests and collecting stuff. Post game is basically small arena fights and increasing enemy health for a chance to get loot that is stronger. Glad I got it from humble. I’ve been thinking a lot about the story. The characters are brilliantly well-written, especially Joel.At the beginning of the game, we see an exemplary parent who disappears for hours at work in order to provide everything necessary for his child. The ending of the game leaves a distorted image of him.
CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS COLD WAR PRE-INSTALLED:
A person who has no purpose in life is willing to do terrible things to give his life meaning. « I struggled for a long time with surviving. No matter what, you keep finding something to fight for.» His life is meaningless, that’s why he found a sense of it in taking care about somebody. I have only seen such attention to detail in Red Dead Redemption 2. Players squint when a flashlight shines on them; glass realistically shatters from explosions; bottles on the cabinet fall if you start to move it. Upgrading weapons is very meditative. It’s interesting to watch Joel put screws in, especially when The eerie music, the chilling sound effects, the dimly lit corridors…it all combines to create a sense of dread that’s palpable. And when you’re already seeing shadows move out of the corner of your eye…well, let’s just say it makes for an unforgettable experience
