It shouldn't be a problem. However, think that because you're installing some content it may cause some sync problems and some of your progress may not save properly. If I were you I would wait until the download is complete. Come on, we all love sims but the download is not that long!

@Ingridimus, in addition to what @Beckem87 stated, if you do play while downloading, when downloading is finished you will have to exit your game and restart it anyway in order for the newly downloaded materials to show up in your game. I usually just play solitaire, or browse the internet or read a book while I'm downloading.

Hi everyone! I'm having a difficult time trying to find a proper answer to my question. I just bought a new computer and am currently redownloading ALL my sims content ( EVERYTHING) I have 9 downloaded out of...42 I believe I have purchased. My internet is my enemy I swear. However I wanted to at least start creating the Sims that I wanted to start playing with but the game state there could be negative effects to playing. What are those effects? Like what could go wrong?? I don't want to ruin my game obviously but I would like to start things out for right now. I know that I wont have access to everything obviously due to them not being downloaded. But would it be okay to access CAS while content is downloading

There is no way to do what you did in the Sims 1 without creating the first sim, playing it the way you wish, move it to the bin, start a new game with the second sim, play it the way you wish, and then move the first sim from the bin into to town.

To add your female sim to the first town where you have your guy sim, just go to "Edit Town." When you go to "Edit Town", there's a huge "Create a Sim" button to create your female and save her as a household. Go to Create a Sim, make her, and save her to bin. When you close Create a Sim, move her into any house in town. No need to go through all this trouble of creating new games just to add more sims to your town!

If you don't want crazy things happening to the sim you're not playing, turn off Story Progression and Aging under your options. If you don't, what might happen is that the other sim will wind up getting married to another sim in the meantime, as well as have kids ormove out of town entirely.

The moto g7 play features a dual SIM that gives you the option to use the network that makes sense for who and where you're calling and texting. Instead of carrying around two separate phones for work and personal use, motorola one can hold two SIM cards in your phone and you can assign each a different function.

I have no experience with gaming on PC, but want to buy my daughter laptop. She wants to play Minecraft and Sims 3. I found some page, but it says I need "2.4 GHz" CPU. Which is usually not an option. It also says that it should be P4, so I guess it's older CPU, so I can use something slower (in terms of GHz), but more modern.

Minecraft is however an oddball as far as graphics options, it can be tuned down to run on almost any newer computer, or turned up high enough to require a PC designed for gaming. One unfortunate fact is that one of the biggest performance adjustment is render distance - and this can have a huge effect on game play. Tiny render will run on almost any machine, but playing on Tiny is a vastly different game than Far.

So as a minimum? An i5 (maybe an i3), integrated graphics, and 2GB of RAM will run the game well enough to play, but with some minimal frustration. However if you wish to avoid that frustration I would recommend at least an i5 and at least 4GB of RAM and discrete graphics. The exact graphics card isn't very important, any discrete card should be able to run Minecraft fine.

The game can actually run on much less, however lag spikes, low frame rates, and various other issues arise as a result. Many things in the game can cause sudden reductions in frame rate - if you can pull 100 FPS then dropping to 50 isn't a big deal, but if you barely can manage 20 a drop to 10 will make the game nearly unplayable.

When a male Sim has a woohoo session with a female townie, I roll a number between 1-100. If the number rolled is 1-10, the townie becomes pregnant. This is the same 10% chance that my playable Sims have of becoming pregnant through risky woohoo.

I allow my Sims to choose who they want to marry, date, or procreate with, but I restrict them to other playable Sims within their generation. A generation is defined as all Sims born in the same season/rotation.

Strictly going by your gameplay rules, Alice would return to the main hood at the age of 20, while Bob comes back at an age of 24, suddenly making him older than Alice when Alice should be the older Sim.

Also, one of my sims is dating a townie and during a date she rolled a want to get married to him multiple times, but he never did. They are in love (100/100 both), and I kind of want them to get married or at least to live together. As she has the want to get married, would you do it? Or only if the active sim wants to?

Hey Cindy! I love your ideas, and your gameplay! Thank you. But, if not bother you, I wanna a tip. Since almost all my sagittarius sims are born with a high level in playful points, they hate do everything that a knowledge sims are suposed to do, like stargaze, play chess, etc. Of course, I dont need to force them to do this things, but sometimes, they roll a want to gain a logic skill point for exemple, and when I command them to play chess, they look at the camera complaining. I dont know, so I start to give them popularity or Fortune aspiration. What you think about it?

What I did was changing the hour age progress from 6PM to midnight (like in the Sims 3, so you can age anybody up anytime without messing with their age during the day). Credited from HobbesED to me on Modthesims:

I never play Greek Houses or Sororities, so my rule is to ignore those wants. I may even have a mod that stops them? Not sure? Anyway, you could always just allow Popularity and Romance Sims to join. Or maybe only Sims who are super outgoing.

im just starting my rotational game and hit abit of a road block when it comes to aging sims who have already been played in the current round but has moved into another household im currently playing in the round, just wondering how you go about that?

for example i play the goths for the 2nd time so my round 2 has started, i play with them for 3 days then i move on to play dina for the 2nd time, i then plan to get her married to mort and have him move into the condo but my only issue is hes already aged the 3 days he should for the round, the only way i can see it being fine is if i do it before 6pm on day 1 of dina, which is fine but i dont wanna have to do that every time i want a household member to move to another household. hope this makes sense

I was wondering how you set up a neighborhood? Do you add any new lots or add any extra sims before starting to play? In one of your videos, you talked about having a church and a career center, and I like those ideas! How about apartments, or sims in the bin like the Burbs or Oldies? Where do you put them?

Hi Cindy I just came across your video and I think they are great. I enjoy the joy you get from playing. I just saw you finance play for your town, if at all possible could you make a copy of that spread sheet I would like to set up my town payment system also (thanks for that idea).

Love these rules and I am hoping to get into playing more of Sims 2 using them. I am playing Veronaville after watching your recent videos and you mentioned rules for pets but I do not see them in this list. Do you use the same rules as the Integrated Hood ones?

Its been super helpful when i tried to figure out how I was going to play neighborhoods. I was just wondering how do you name your twins? Do you have a special twist for that or do you just use the two next letters in your naming system?

I also saw that you manually randomize gender preference for your sims, but I thought this was already randomized by the ACR. If I dont do this, will all my playable sims only be straight? Cause that would be insanely boring. I put bisexual to 30% to make things more interesting. 2351a5e196
