I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy at National Chengchi University. I received my PhD from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 2018, my MPhil from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2013, and I completed my undergraduate studies in German and Philosophy (double major) at The University of Hong Kong in 2010. My research interests include classical German philosophy, contemporary metaphysics, and philosophy of mind. My historical interest started with the German idealist philosopher Johann Gottlieb Fichte and over the years it gradually extends backward, tracing back to the medieval and early modern period, and forward, reaching the neo-Kantian movement. My systematic interest concerns some of the classical philosophical issues such as the connection between the mind and the world, the mind-body problem, the basic structure of reality, and the conditions of self-knowledge. Besides philosophy, I enjoy reading literature and listening to music. You can also find me on PhilPeople.Contact: platotse [at] nccu.edu.tw
