Believe me when I say that Im excited for platformer mode and 2.2 in general, but I feel like loop music is going to be used a lot more since it doesnt really have much of a progression. I just hope that platformer mode wont be used for every level.

Pack includes 5 music tracks with variations! Also comes with 23 SFXs, excluding variations. Jump, attack, shooting, collect item sounds and more, all the basic sounds you need to kickstart your game!

The 12-time Grammy Award winner is working with Chris Lin, who runs Taipei-based digital music service KKBOX, Twitch cofounder Kevin Lin and Matt Cheng of early-stage venture firm Cherubic Ventures as part owners of the new business.

The fandoms are gaming and music. And while you’re always going out a limb when you try to draw conclusions about such large, diverse groups, I can’t help but feel like I’m seeing a trend in the way they have responded so far to efforts from industry to sell them various blockchain-related things.

That brings us to the world of music, where the response to crypto has been decidedly more muted. For example, consider the popular R&B singer John Legend. Legend has 21 million monthly Spotify listeners, 13.8 million Twitter followers, and a new NFT platform. Here’s Kim Bhasin at Bloomberg:

Or what about Coachella, perhaps the nation’s preeminent music festival for young people? Its parent company, AEG, announced it will auction off 10 lifetime passes on Friday morning as part of a larger move into NFTs. Some of the Coachella NFTs can be redeemed for physical items like posters and photo books. The digital goods come with analog benefits.

Two, music NFTs can more easily be positioned as helping artists. When I decided to write last year about the startup Royal, which lets musicians sell their albums as NFTs, this was a large part of its appeal to me. Record labels are notorious for swallowing the lion’s share of an artist’s profits; what if artists could earn more by selling directly to fans? You may not want to buy an NFT from Legend or one of the artists he worked with on his project — but are you really going to begrudge him a chance to sell something directly to his fans?

(It’s telling that the NFT project that music fans arguably hate the most viscerally, Hit Piece, is a straight-up ripoff of artists: a project designed to sell NFTs of their songs without the permission of anyone involved.)

Three, the music NFT projects I’m describing this week are entirely optional. You can still stream Legend on Spotify without buying one of his NFTs; you can still go to Coachella without winning an auction for a lifetime pass. The music industry has so far approached crypto as a way to sell extras to an artist’s most hardcore fans, and it’s natural that those hardcore fans have not rioted in response. They like the artist; they like the festival. If some people want to blow a lot more money on it, what’s the big deal?

Looking at music NFTs, I see flashes of something that goes beyond a scheme to get the world to buy crypto. Festival passes, digital art, pressure on record labels — there’s a hint of something practical there. And it seems telling that, in the court of public opinion at least, it’s those nascent projects that seem to be getting a pass.

Sound Shapes is a music-based 2D platformer developed by Queasy Games (with the assistance of Sony Santa Monica studio), and published by Sony. It was released on the PS3 and PS Vita in August 2012 and on the PS4 in November 2013. MSRB is $10. I played the PS Vita Version.

Hi. Could you put that it would possible to upload music directly from the files? It's that by way of the URLs it's very unstable, since after a few hours it stops working, and most of them don't even work the first time.

It turns Logic Pro into a game level editor. It makes a standard MIDI file into a terrain of platforms to explore. As you navigate, your footfalls on piano roll-visualized notes procedurally generate sound effects and music.

Adventures of General Midi is a platformer which generates levels based on the notes in a MIDI file. All the built-in levels were built in Logic, and there is an option to import your own MIDI files.

The game was built from scratch using MaxMsp and Javascript. All the music and sound effects are synthesised in realtime. The music is procedurally generated, based on the notes you land on.

This game is part of the Udemy course Unity2D. It's a small but complete platformer game. The title doesn't make any sense now, but will probably in the future. The music is original, the super nice artwork is Cute Sister Platformer by Master484...

When was the last time you played a good 3D character platformer? For me, it was probably Psychonauts 2. But before that? Outside of Mario? I'm not sure I'd be able to tell you. For whatever reason, the 3D character platformer has become an increasingly rare breed, it would seem, which makes them even more heartening to see when they do occasionally poke their head above the parapet and leap onto our screens. Song Of Nunu: A League Of Legends Story is one of them, channelling the joyous, boundless enthusiasm of its late 90s and early 00s predecessors to create a simple, but straightforward adventure that you could just as easily enjoy alone as an adult, or with a child in tow. It did not, alas, quite make me cry as developers Tequila Works intended (that honour still belongs to Rime and Rime alone out of their back catalogue), but there's much to admire here while having your heartstrings lightly plucked at the same time. And you don't need to know a jot about League Of Legends to enjoy it.

So yes, Song Of Nunu won't win any prizes for ingenuity or platforming prowess, but it is very handsomely made, and I had a lovely, heartwarming time with it. It certainly feels like a step up from Rime, the game that helped put Tequila Works on the map for these kinds of soulful adventures, even if it doesn't wrench quite so violently at your heartstrings. If nothing else, it will remind you of simpler, perhaps happier days when every third-person adventure game wasn't just another grim Soulslike you had to endure, and that there's still plenty of joy and warmth to be found in a story about a boy looking for his mum with his big yeti dog friend. Whether you like League Of Legends or not, it's another notch we can add to the recent 'good character platformer' list.

Im new to godot and im trying to setup basic mechanics for a platformer in split screen, so far its kinda ok but i have some questions , maybe others encountered these challenges. Is it normal that audiostreamplayer plays on logo (that first image being shown when game starts) when i dont even have any scene for logo besides custom png , but i do have audiostreamplay for 1st stage, still i dont think it should play on logo, or is there some other way to play the music and not have it played on logo.I guess it starts playing because it loads the scene when in titlescreen? Id like to disable this. Also whats the good way to implement jumpland animation ? States ? Are there any examples of this ?Thanks.

And i have first scene as intro.tsc , then video plays, no musicplay() in gd script, but that splash screen is even before that first video, so title screen is not even actuive yet but it plays music because of that $Music.play() command from titlescreen, its weird, i remove that play command and music doesnt play on splashscreen but it also wont play at all, its not on autoplay,is there any other way to make godot not play music just because it loaded future scene into memory? titlescreen scene with music is 2nd screne.I have intro.tsc then titlescreen.tsc and stage1.tsc. i have musicplay in titlescreen and stage1 but it plays the music before these scenes are onscreen.

I think i solved it, the thing was that i had Root node in root scene, and i instanced/linked 3 scenes to that root node (intro, title and stage1) this was loaded when splash screen showed up (i think) causing music toi play , so...I removed titlescreen linked scene and stage1 linked scene so they exist in resources but arent loaded into root scene, it look like its working , music doesnt play anymore .But this means i cant just go from root to stage1 by clicking on stage1 node from root scene, i have to open stage1 scene manually in file browser to edit it in godot. Is this how it should be ?So for example i cant have my main ROOT scene, where all my stages and start/gameover scenes are instanced/linked ?I have to keep every stage connected only by GScripts and use changescene ? Im still learning basics.I suspect thats the case . 9af72c28ce
