Oceans account for nearly 70% of the planet but according to the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration billions of pounds of trash damage our oceans every year.
We need to cut down and spread awareness about trash in our oceans.

Today, our oceans are suffering. While the ocean only covers about 70% of the earth, it contributes to nearly all aspects of life. The air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we drink are all balanced and supported by our oceans. But according to National Geographic, “more than 40% of the ocean has been severely affected and no area has been left untouched” by global climate change, pollution, habitat destruction, invasive species, and a dramatic decrease in ocean fish stocks. Plastic pollution makes up the highest percentage of marine ocean debris. We need to make changes to limit the number of plastics that are contaminating our oceans.
Plastic pollution in the Ocean is an extreamly serious and urgent action is necessary. Fortunately, it is not too late to make a change, and by educating and understanding the issue, we get closer to a solution.
This site will help educate on ways we can help save our oceans by focusing on plastic pollution and the Florida Coastline.
