This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use the PlantCal: Plant Care Calendar mobile application (the “App”).
Your privacy is important to us. PlantCal is designed to be simple, offline-first, and privacy-friendly. Most data created in the App remains stored locally on your device.
We do not collect, store, or process personal information such as:
User accounts or sign-ups
Names, emails, or contact information
Location data
Device identifiers linked to individuals
Personal contacts or address book data
Advertising identifiers
Behavioral tracking data
You can use the App completely anonymously.
PlantCal allows you to add a photo of your plants to help visually organize and identify them.
If you choose to add a plant photo:
The App may request permission to access your device photo library or camera
Photos you select are stored locally on your device
These photos are not uploaded, transmitted, or stored on external servers
We do not have access to your photos
Photo access is used only for displaying plant images inside the App.
You can revoke photo permissions at any time through your device settings.
PlantCal is designed as an offline app.
All data you enter is stored only on your device, including:
Plant names
Plant photos
Watering schedules
Care reminders
Plant care notes
App preferences
This information is:
Not transmitted to external servers by us
Not accessible by us
Fully controlled by you
If you delete the App, reset your device, or clear app storage, this data will be permanently removed.
PlantCal uses Sentry, a third-party error monitoring service, to collect technical crash reports when the App encounters errors.
Crash reports may include limited technical information such as:
Device model
Operating system version
App version
Error messages and stack traces
Date and time of the crash
This information is used only to diagnose technical issues and improve app stability.
Crash reports do not intentionally include personal information or plant data.
PlantCal operates primarily offline.
However, when an app crash occurs, technical diagnostic data may be securely transmitted to Sentry for debugging purposes.
This transmission is limited to technical error information only and does not include:
Plant photos
Plant care data
Personal information
PlantCal does not use:
Cookies
Tracking pixels
Advertising SDKs
Behavioral analytics
Marketing trackers
The App contains no advertising or behavioral tracking technologies.
PlantCal uses the following third-party service:
Sentry — Crash reporting and error monitoring
Sentry may process limited technical diagnostic data when the App crashes or encounters errors.

No other analytics, advertising, authentication, or cloud database services are used.
PlantCal does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
Because the App does not collect personal data, it is suitable for general audiences.
Since we do not collect or store personal data on external servers, there is no personal information for us to:
Access
Modify
Export
Delete
All data exists solely on your device.
If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data will be permanently removed.
Because PlantCal stores data locally on your device:
Security is managed by your device’s operating system
We do not store your data on our servers
We cannot access or recover your data
We recommend using device passcodes, biometric locks, and backups where available.
We may update this Privacy Policy if app functionality changes.
If future versions introduce features such as:
Cloud sync
User accounts
Analytics
Advertising
Online services
