Welcome, Earthling!
You've landed on Planet Geek!
We're a friendly bunch of (Toronto) folks, open-source-oriented, environmentally-conscious, and a 100% volunteer group.
We work to keep e-waste (computers and related gear) out of landfill, putting it into the hands of those who can (re)use it.
UPDATE:
DUE TO THE CONTINUING HIGH NUMBER OF COVID-19 CASES DAILY
WE ARE MONITORING THE SITUATION. Workshops will be held on a selected basis.
If you have filled out our Contact Form, it will take longer than expected to get a reply.
Thank you and look after yourselves in these difficult times.

Highlights - recent news
2018 & 2019 turned out to be more relaxed and slower than previous years for our small group of core members who continue to have fun with learning how to fix older computers and installing LinuxMint. The LinuxMint configuration & customization to make it easier for new recipeints is always our goal in promoting the use of more open source software.
And we also do Mac computers if you want to learn about them or donate them.
2015, 16 & 17 were very productive years for PG:
Over 120 PCs found new homes.
Way to go, everyone!
Congratulations, Flemingdon Park clients and visitors. Flemingdon Park Ministry and PlanetGeek have partnered regularly to give away computers to users of the Flemingdon Park Food Bank. (Made possible with donated PlanetGeek computers)
Thanks to our partners, Pastor Beverley and Pastor Helena Houldcroft and the hard-working folks at Flemingdon Park!
-Here is a 2016 group photo with Pastor Beverley
-And a 2015 group photo is here with Pastor Helena
And a special mention - in 2015, we gave away computers to the Flemingdon Park Seniors with Linuxmint and installed 5 different languages for them. That was FUN FUN FUN YEH!!!

Volunteer meet-up - Sunday afternoons
Still doing our bit! Join us for one of our volunteer sessions.
We only meet on Sunday afternoons, to assess, fix and rebuild / refurbish donated computers. You can arrange to bring in your broken computer and fix it yourself with our teaching and guidance. Or come learn how to fix computers, install software and learn what free software is all about. Fill out our Contact Form or send us an email if you'd like to join us!
