Did you know that the PJP2 library houses over 10,700 books? Students can borrow books each week during their regular library class or during open library time and return them the following week to get a new book. There are no late fees for overdue books but if a book is lost or damaged we ask that you please replace the book. Happy reading!!!
Library Rules:
Be Kind - Share the books, equipment, and the space.
Be Safe - Use walking feet and keep hands to yourself.
Be Respectful - Raise your hand to speak and use your inside voices.
Be Responsible - Take good care of the books and return them when you are finished for others to enjoy.
About the Librarian: I believe all children are readers, only some haven't found the right book yet and my goal is to help them!
Hello! I am Mrs. Albee and I am excited to start my 2nd year at PJPII this Fall! I am a graduate of Marywood University where I earned my degree in English Literature and I have my Master's Degree in Library Science from Clarion University. I live in Coatesville, PA with my husband, my daughter (who will be in 1st Grade at PJPII this year), and my English bulldog. When I'm not in the library, I enjoy listening to audio books and sewing.
My Mission Statement: I, Mrs. Albee, am a teacher librarian who strives to help my students become lifelong readers and critical thinkers. I will be patient as students learn the rules and procedures of the library. I will clearly communicate my expectations for my students throughout the school year. I will be kind to my students, greeting them with a smile, listening with empathy to their requests, and providing library lessons that include great stories and assignments that reinforce the library standards of learning. I am committed to the continual growth of the school library through the weeding out of outdated materials, additions of high interest/good quality books at all reading levels, and providing an organized/easy to use library environment.
