He is a PhD Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay's Department of Civil Engineering.

Utilizing satellite remote sensing data, his research focuses on estimating glacier ice thickness and stored ice reserves with the help of existing ice thickness model approaches. Current focus is on the glaciers present in the Indian Himalayas. In addition, since 2018, he is also involved in glacier and snow related field investigations. He has recently participated as part of 43rd Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica for UAV based research on Ice sheet dynamics.
